React Beacon Technology

The React Beacon Feature is a modular component of the REACT Trigger System that uses Bluetooth technology to communicate with mobile phones and other compatible devices.

A React Beacon is a self-contained, battery-powered device housed in an IP68- and IK07-rated enclosure. It automatically enables location-based proximity notifications on nearby mobile devices. The beacon continuously broadcasts its presence using Bluetooth, allowing compatible third-party applications to detect its signal and respond accordingly.

The free React App uses the beacon’s signal to deliver automatic audio-visual proximity notifications and accessible information directly to a user’s mobile phone as they approach a beacon.

Unlike many beacon solutions, the React App can detect React Beacons while running in the foreground, background, and even when the phone is locked and in a pocket, providing a seamless and highly accessible user experience.

For smartwatch users, notifications are also delivered directly to their compatible smartwatch, ensuring important information is never missed.

Audio notifications can be played aloud through the phone’s speaker or delivered discreetly via headphones or earbuds. The React App integrates with the phone’s native accessibility features, including VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android, providing an inclusive experience for all users.
